What Is It?
A Safe Number is a safe call personal phone number that people can dial to reach you on your normal phone numbers - landline or mobile, without you having to give these out to people you don't really know or necessarily trust. Safe Numbers start 070 and look similar to mobile numbers - e.g. 07012 906000.
You can still use your existing phone numbers exactly as before and you don't need to change anything. You'll know when someone has called your Safe Number because there will be a brief message before the caller is transferred*. |

Block Nuisance Callers
By default, a Safe Number will not put through callers who have withheld their numbers. If you decide that you'd rather not hear from a particular caller again, simply press a couple of keys during the call, and their number will be blocked. Or you can add numbers to block via the web site. |

One Number
If you lose or have to change your mobile number, or you're staying somewhere with a different number, you can simply redirect your Safe Number to wherever you want. No need to tell all your contacts of the change.
You can dial out so that the caller sees your Safe Number as the calling number - no need to withhold your own number. Simply dial your own Safe Number first, to get dial tone.
Keep Track
Your Safe Number comes with it's own voicemail for when you can't take the call. Messages can be sent to you by email, downloaded from the web site or you can get a text alert when a new one arrives.
A record of all your incoming calls can be viewed on the web site and, optionally, a private recording of every conversation can be made in case you miss an important detail. |
COST : FREE!
It costs the caller a little more to call your Safe Number (50p inc VAT per minute), but it costs you absolutely nothing to have one.
You don't need to keep it and there's really no obligation. |
